Architectural Metalformers Ltd recently secured the contract to install the feature roof to the new ASB North Wharf project currently being constructed in Auckland’s fashionable Wynyard quarter.
Located on the corner of Jellicoe and Halsey streets and looking directly over the viaduct itself, the much anticipated feature roof is a challenge to conventional tray roof design/installation and is destined to change the local skyline for many years to come.

Its teams have quickly embraced the enormity and complexities of the task ahead. The company’s initial concerns about working on a 45° or 38°roof pitch have proved accurate, and extreme care has been taken while working on these tricky surfaces.
